giftboox knows that you care how information about you is used and shared and we appreciate your trust in us to do that carefully and sensibly. This notice describes the privacy policy of giftboox. By visiting giftboox, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

You trust us with your information, and we are seriously respect members' privacy and will not share your personal information with third parties, except in our privacy policy statement.

 

Purposes

The information we learn from buyers helps us personalize and continually improve your shopping experience at giftboox. We use the information to handle orders, deliver products and services, process payments, communicate with you about orders, products, services and promotional offers, update our records and generally maintain your accounts with us, display content such as wish lists and buyer reviews and recommend merchandise and services that might be of interest to you. We also use this information to improve our store and platform, prevent or detect fraud or abuses of our website and enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical or other functions on our behalf.

Here are the types of information we gather.

For your security proposes, giftboox never gathers your credit card information for any usage. All credit card payments are processed via PayPal.

 

Automatic Information

We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many websites, we use "cookies" and we obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses giftboox. A number of companies offer utilities designed to help you visit websites anonymously. Although we will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience at giftboox if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these tools exist.

 

E-mail Communications

To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from giftboox if your computer supports such capabilities. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your opt in preferences in Your Account. Information from Other Sources: we might receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information.

 

Cookies

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide features such as personalized greetings and storage of items in your Shopping Basket between visits. If you do leave cookies turned on, be sure to Sign Off when you finish using a shared computer.

 

Information management

Information about our buyers is an important part of our business and we are not in the business of selling it to others.

 

Security

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personally identifiable customer information. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to Sign Out when you finish using a shared computer.

 

Third Party Service Providers

We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from buyer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

 

Third-party Advertisers and Other Links

Our site may include third-party advertising and links to other websites. We do not provide any personally identifiable customer information to these advertisers or third-party websites. These third-party websites and advertisers, or Internet advertising companies working on their behalf, sometimes use technology to send (or "serve") the advertisements that appear on our website directly to your browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (also known as action tags or single-pixel gifs), and other technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. We do not have access to or control over cookies or other features that they may use, and the information practices of these advertisers and third-party websites are not covered by this Privacy Notice. Please contact them directly for more information about their privacy practices. In addition, the Network Advertising Initiative offers useful information about Internet advertising companies (also called "ad networks" or "network advertisers"), including information about how to opt-out of their information collection.

You agree that your personal data given to and collected by giftboox may be used and disclosed for the foregoing purposes, and to such persons as may be in accordance with this Privacy.

You can email us at: customer@giftboox.com at any time should you no longer wish to receive updates of giftboox activities and promotions.  We will follow up once received your request.  You may need to provide your personal data to our authorized employee for personal identity verification purpose.  We will stop sending you our information updates within one month.

Contact giftboox

 

giftboox attempts to be as accurate as possible. However, giftboox does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of any giftboox service is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by giftboox itself is not as described, your sole remedy is fill in the "request refund" page and waiting our discretionand email feedback. If we accept your refund request, we will refund the amount to customer's credit card or PayPal account. The product may likely be required to return in unused condition. In case the product is sent from the place of buyer and there's any cost arised, like the shipping cost, then such costs for return will be paid by buyer. In some case, such as custom designed or personalized product, customer and shop owner may have special arrangement on “Return Policy” which will be stated upon individual cases. 
All giftboox's bonuses (giftcooin or coupon) are valid as a one-time use only. The bonuses will be deducted when customer requests refund. We unfortunately cannot credit bonuses back to your account once they’ve been used.
giftboox does not provide reimbursement for costs related to return shipping, customs fees, taxes, postal fees or VAT related costs.

 

Refund requirements

  1. Items must be in new condition;
  2. Items must be returned with all original packaging and accessories;
  3. Shipping and handling charges for returning items are borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to returning the item;
  4. Use a traceable shipping method (UPS, Fedex, etc.) for all returned items and send us an email with the applicable references;
  5. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges and insurance on all return shipments.
  6. Personalized product and limited edition product are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
  7. Refund will not be approved if the product has been withheld by the customs office of destination country.
 

Refund procedure

  1. The returned item will be inspected for damage, missing parts, not in the original condition, or obvious signs of use for reasons not due to a giftboox error;
  2. After the inspection if the product is eligible for a refund, the funds will be deposited back to your PayPal account, and you will receive a confirmation of the refund via e-mail;
  3. Refunds are typically processed within 30 days of receiving the item back from you.
 

Refund calculation

  1. If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or, in accordance with our returns policy, because it is damaged or defective, we will refund the delivery charges incurred in returning it to us;
  2. We will check all items returned as damaged, defective or incorrect. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item(s) and to recover our fees and expenses from you.

All returns are subject to the discretion of giftboox.

Currency Conversion

All payments on your giftboox bill are in HK Dollars. If you list in a currency other than HK Dollars, your item price will be converted to HK Dollars before the transaction fee is applied. Currency conversion is handled automatically by PayPal payment processing service.

 

Fee

Shop Owner Fee: Listing fee + Transaction fee

 

Listing Fees

Each product listing on giftboox costs $3 HKD per 3 months (approx. $0.38 USD/3 months) when the listing is published at first day. A listing will last for 3 months or until the item is sold. After 3 months if the item has not been sold, then the listing expires. Listing fees are added to your giftboox report page. Moreover, giftboox offers 15 free listing products for each shop.

You may easily renew expired, sold or active listings if you like. A renewed listing is given a new expiration date in 3 months from the renewal date. Renewal listing fees are added to your giftboox report page after a day of renewal date.

Each listing fee unit is for 1 product with 1 item price.

Listing fee is calculated based on “Number of Design Content per Product”.

Example1: a T-shirt with an image, which has size and colour options. All are the same image - it counts 1 listing fee no matter order quantity.

Case1: 
Take a “Plain T-shirt” as a Product example, which contains different sizes and fabric colours.
Listing fee will be calculated as “1” when the T-shirt is being published.
When the T-shirt is bearing a design (eg. a silkscreened graphics) and both the Plain T-shirt and the Silkscreened T-shirt are being published, the Listing fee will be calculated as “2”.

Case 2:
When a Poster is being published which contain 3 different sizes (eg. A3, A2 and A0), the Listing fee will be calculated as “1” since there is only 1 Design Content for this Product.
But if you want a T-shirt product have image options, listing fee will be count by number of images. You should list them separately.

Example 2: Same image poster has size options with different item price - it counts only 1 listing fee no matter order quantity.

The listing fee will deducted from your Alternate giftcooin Balance.

 

Transaction Fees

There are 2 types of Listing – Paid listing and Free listing. Transaction fee will be calculated differently in each listing type.

When you make a sale on giftboox, you will be charged a transaction fee of 5% of the list price* for the Paid listing product or 10% of the list price* for the Free listing product. This percentage does not include the shipping cost or tax. Transaction fees are added to your giftboox bill. Paypal service charge of each partner (giftboox and individual shop) will be paid by each partner with proportionally.

* List price refers to product’s listing price without any discount or special offer​

 

Advertising Fees

giftboox offers advertising opportunities to increase the visibility of your items and shop. Advertising fees vary by opportunity. Advertising fees will be clearly outlined before you commit to purchasing an advertisement. Advertising fees are added to your giftboox bill.

 

Billing

Once the buyer confirmed the acceptance of goods, shop owners can go to the "k report" page at their shop mode. A summary of “Your Sales”, “Alternate giftcooin Balance” and “Shop Owner Fee” will be recorded there.  

Your Sales - Upon expiry of the 15 day after-sales-service period, giftboox will arrange to transfer the order balance (after deduction of transaction fee) 
and the shipping cost to the shop’s PayPal account.  Shop owners should encourage the buyer to confirm acceptance within 15 days to receive bonus 
giftcoon(s).  If the buyer takes no action, acceptance is taken for granted by the 15th day of the arrival.  After-sales-service period always starts from 
the acceptance date.

Alternate giftcooin Balance - This is the balance for all used giftcooin by customers in the completed orders. When the alternate giftcooin balance reaches HKD1,000 (approx. USD130), giftboox will transfer the amount (after deduction of the listing fee) to the shop’s PayPal account.

Shop Owner Fee - Listing fee will deducted in your alternate giftcooin balance. And transaction fee will deducted in your sales of each order.

PayPal service charge - There will be a service charge by PayPal to both parties (giftboox and individual shop) at each payment. Shop owners are to check their own PayPal account for details of the PayPal service charge.  The same will not be recorder in the "k report" page. 

 

Shipping

All products are to be shipped directly from shop owner to the delivery address specified by the customer.

giftboox uses PayPal as payment method including all shipping cost.
The shipping cost will depend on the origin, destination and logistics of the package. If you add signature confirmation or insurance, those fees will be added to the total cost of the label at the point of purchase.

Please confirm the exact shipping cost before buyer pay the order, because you cannot change it after that.

Shop owner needs to complete the shipping details for each order, which include “Start Shipping” date, “Estimated Arrival Date”, “Tracking Number” (Type ‘None’ if there is no tracking number).  Upon shipment, the shop owner should request receipt from the Carrier or the Post Office. This receipt MUST be uploaded at the "Shipping Receipt” in the "g orders" page after your product being shipped.

We also offer a shipping tag (shipping label) on your "g orders" page. Simply print out the label to stick on your package to save time and avoid typing errors.

 

Refund Responsibility

Shop owner is responsible for 100% of any refund on:

  1. without upload the image of shipping receipt, no valid or accurate tracking information
  2. does not arrive customer address at "estimated arrival date". e.g.: an order that is sent to the wrong address, delivery fails or carrier returns item to sender
  3. items arriving damaged
  4. an order that the merchant engaged in fraudulent activity
  5. an order does not match the description in web site. e.g.: size issue or sending incomplete product
  6. product is marked as counterfeit
